One week

One week ago we were moving in….wow – doesn’t seem all that short/long or whichever way you want to look at it.  We both are getting a feel for our new home.  I actually know where I am going or how to get there every once in a while.

Doug had class this morning and I went to the Farmer’s Market.  It is so close to us and is really great.  They only allow agricultural vendors so no trinkety crap is sold.  You wouldn’t believe how many actual farmers there were…I only say this because at the Downtown Market in KC you had the Amish and Mennonites that you knew actually farmed, the small stands of Mom and Pops that farmed a few things, then you had everyone else that just bought from the same distributor as the grocery stores (only they sold it for less).  Here, all the farms had a ton of selection for you.  It was great and of course I forgot my camera.

So now I am enjoying my smoked salmon and fresh chevre (as fresh as it can get…) from the farmer’s market.  YUM.  You’re jealous right?
